FILM SYNOPSIS
The power of a single individual to change the fate of thousands is the narrative shared between Steven Spielberg’s masterpiece Schindler’s List and the gripping feature documentary The Rescuers. While Spielberg’s film illuminated the little-known story of a German businessman who saved hundreds of Jews from the death camps in World War II, The Rescuers reveals the astonishing efforts of 13 diplomats who defied the Nazis, and at times their own governments, to save tens of thousands of Jews from a similar fate.
